I got a great range of experiences as I worked with five different Family Advocates in Provo. I really feel like I got to see what real life was like as a Family Advocate. I love working with the families, the children and the community. Mountainland Head Start does so much to help these families, and I love that I got to be a part of it. As a (wonderful, big) side-note, my internship here at MHS helped me desire to apply for and be accepted to be a Family Advocate for the upcoming school year! I am so grateful for the staff, families and friends I have already made along the way. -Courtney

Interning for Mountainland Head Start in the Lehi preschool classrooms was an amazing experience for me where I gained new skills in working with children, problem solving, and teaching. I loved the opportunities I had to challenge myself through making up lesson plans for the preschoolers and I enjoyed observing the great teachers in the classrooms. Through observing they taught me a lot and showed me new ways to interact with and help preschool aged children. I gained such a love for seeing the children grow and develop. I look forward to continuing in this field for many years because of this wonderful opportunity. -Chandler

Have you ever wanted to help change the world by working with children and families?
