This position will offer experience in many different facets of accepting and processing referrals, creating travel itineraries and assisting with wish-related events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hours: <\/strong>6-15 hours per week, flexible schedule.<br \/>\n<strong>Duration: <\/strong>One semester or longer<br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>771 East Winchester, Murray, UT 84107<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><br \/>\nReporting to the Director of Program Services, the program services intern will have the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accept and process referrals for new wish kids<\/li>\n<li>Work with wish families on intake process<\/li>\n<li>Creation of files for new wish kids<\/li>\n<li>Creation of unique itineraries for travel wishes<\/li>\n<li>Provide assistance with travel details for wishes<\/li>\n<li>Aide in file closure at the conclusion of each wish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office)<\/li>\n<li>Non-judgmental<\/li>\n<li>Family\/child oriented<\/li>\n<li>Creative<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented<\/li>\n<li>Friendly<\/li>\n<li>Responsible<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with and acknowledge the contribution of a diverse and dynamic team of staff and volunteers.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak Spanish not a requirement, but would be helpful.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunity to attend wish-related events, wish family activities and fundraising events<\/li>\n<li>Experience using fundraising database (Raiser\u2019s Edge\/Blackbaud)<\/li>\n<li>Resume credit with a nationally recognized nonprofit organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TO APPLY\u00a0 ~~\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Email resume and cover letter to: <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:jhortin@utah.wish.org\">jhortin@utah.wish.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>About Make-A-Wish Utah<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
