The Academy for Child Advocacy & Family Suport (ACAFS) is accepting BYU students who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in psychology, social work, or marriage and family therapy as interns.

ACAFS offers a unique internship experience which allows students to work directly with clients and receive on-going training from a clinical psychologist and the administrative director.

**ACAFS accepts interns year round.**

Intern Responsibilities: ACAFS works with families of divorce and blended families. The intern’s job is threefold: to facilitate third party exchanges of children between divorced parents, to supervise non-custodial parents visiting their children, and to interview children about their interactions with their parents. ACAFS interns are given serious responsibilities and expected to display self-motivation and problem-solving skills.

Commitment: Interns are expected to work approximately 6 – 10 hours per week as interns at ACAFS. The work hours vary, with most of the work being between 3:00 and 9:00 pm Monday through Friday, Saturdays, and some Sundays from 5:30 – 8:00pm.

A two-semester (8 month) commitment is required. This internship is a volunteer position. Fluent Spanish language skills and proficient ASL skills are a plus, but not required.
